At Aisin Chemical, we have enacted voluntary environmental standards. Along with our people making efforts to implement, we are working to reduce waste materials and use of raw materials having impact on environment. Including ELV Directives correspondense, we promote environmental activities of all kinds, and are endeavoring to bring about a sustainable society. To conduct all company activities in harmony with the environment and to concentrate the knowledge and passion of each one of employees toward protecting nature and its beauty, we have established the following five-point program for company-wide environmental activities, and entire workforce is working to carry out. In making chemical materials and products primarily for automotive, Aisin Chemical will work to accomplish these points and contribute to society: - Preserving the environment through resource conservation, energy conservation, reduction of waste materials, and other activities - Designing and manufacturing products with concern for the environment 　right from the development stage Together with establishing a management system for environmental conservation, Aisin Chemical will establish goals and targets based on this policy and work to effect ongoing improvements through systematic implementation and revisions. Aisin Chemical will comply strictly with legislation, accords, and the like relating to the environment, together with establishing voluntary standards and conducting pollution-prevention activities. To ensure environmental conservation for surroundings, Aisin Chemical will value communication with local community. Through codification of environmental policies and publicity activities, Aisin Chemical will work to establish insightful knowledge and enhance awareness among entire workforce, and carry out implementation. We established an environmental-management system based on ISO 14001, international standard for environmental conservation, and acquired certification under this standard in 2001. We are advancing ongoing improvements in environmental-management system with the aim of further enhancing environmental levels.
